Plasma Planet has just learned of an interesting application for LEP lighting in the Mid-Western United States.
The problem has been vandalism and interference on electrical grid infrastructure, especially those out of the way units where surveillance can be more challenging. The combination of 'white light' for better surveillance and 'long life' for low maintenance made LEP ideal for this application. The installation was completed by Straylight Optical Technologies and is the first of many such installations planned in the region.
With this new application, Plasma Planet realizes that 'LEP saves electrical energy' can now have two very distinct meanings.
